'ton of crumbs (creature.hack)' is the first full length audio/visual work by /Solidus Virgule/ - a harsh noise landscape with audio reactive video.

Stylistic references span the 80s-90s noise rock underground as well as power electronics, experimental sound collage and contemporary solo cello.

Live samples collide with warped digital signals and screaming slabs of industrial sound. a fragment of grunge music or snarled line of poetry might surface briefly before being consumed again by the aural mêlée. Unlike much 'harsh noise wall' there is a playful - at times fearful - unpredictability and sonic variety woven into the overarching aesthetic (much of the sound was edited by a bespoke method of 'Tetrising' : filling up space visually on the timeline without hearing the results... see screenshot of work in progress.)

The accompanying visuals combine innovative glitch art generated using densely warped max msp patches, found film and live performance footage.

Taken together, the work focuses on connections and collisions of physical, virtual and ritual spaces and invites personal immersion in its distended dimensions.
